Chamber accepting vendor registrations for May 12 arts and crafts show

Lauren Canaday has accepted the post of Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce arts and crafts festival vendor manager, according to Paula Scott, chamber CEO. She replaces Jerry Burkholder, who is retiring this year.

This year's show is the day before Mother's Day, Saturday, May 12 (Mother's Day is May 13).

The chamber is extending invitations to crafters to have a booth in this year's show.

Whoever said you can't get anything for free anymore is incorrect. The Bluffton recycling center on Spring Street has all the free mulch village residents could ever want. It's created by residents who took tree branches and bruch to the centre last year. The free mulch is only available to residents of the Village of Bluffton.

The Icon spotted LEEANNE in the Carol Slane Florist parking lot on South Main Street, Ada.

Bluffton Public Library will hold a book  signing at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, for Fred Steiner's "The Bluffton We Never Knew" photo history book.

The book, released this year, includes nearly 170 photos of Bluffton from 1861 to 1911, representing the first half-century of the village.
