BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University baseball squad took to Memorial Field to face off against Wilmington College in their home opener on a frigid Saturday, March 17. The Beavers couldn’t muster up much offense as they took a 1-0 loss in game one and a 3-1 setback in game two, dropping to 8-4 on the season.

The Pandora United Methodist Church will host a free community meal on Wednesday, March 28, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the church fellowship hall, 108 E. Washington Street, Pandora. 

The meal this month is provided by Pandora-Gilboa Student Council. The menu is tacos, taco salad, refried beans, assorted cookies and beverage.

Onr more step work toward encirling the village

The Bentley Road pathway project will begin shortly after May 7. That project will soon improve safety along Bentley from Grove to Augsburger.

 It is one of several village projects in the works this spring concerning street lighting, sidewalks and pathways.

The following summary from the Bluffton council’s streets, lights, alley committee meeting in late February updates several of these projects.

Student art work on exhibit this month at the library

PLEASE TAKE TIME TO VIEW THE ART ATTACHED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS STORY -

No need travel out of town to see great art. It’s on display in Bluffton, as it’s art for arts sake this month at the Bluffton on Public Library. March is student art month and the library features several dozens works in various media from local schools. Here’s a selection of the works on display.

The following students have pieces in the show. These artists represent Bluffton, Cory-Rawson, Columbus Grove and home-schooled students.
