The Bluffton University music department will showcase its ensembles during the annual Christmas Festival Forum on campus. The holiday concert will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 5, in Yoder Recital Hall.

During the concert, ensembles will perform compositions that prepare hearts and minds for the Christmas season.

This event is free and open to the public.

Autumn Gesler wins $200 college scholarship

Autumn Gesler, Bluffton High School artist, is the winner of a $200 college scholarship.

The award is from Reichenbach and Steiner CPA, and Samuel W. Diller Co., L.P.A., and is part of a holiday art judging contest sponsored by the two Main Street businesses.

Bluffton's favorite cold-weather event was pretty mild (weather-wise). Yes, this year's Blaze of Lights went off with a hitch.

Registration now for winter-themed evening of fun and games

Bluffton Family Recreation hosts its next "Kid's Night Out," from 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 8, according to Amy Byers, sports director.

"This is a chance for parents to have a night out on their own or to do some Christmas shopping," she said.

The kid's night with a theme "Pajamas and Pancakes" is open to youth ages 4 to 12. The evening includes many winter-themed activities and games.

There will be a chocolate bar, cookie decorating, make a Christmas ornament and join in a snowball fight.
