Alex Parker came to Bluffton University in 2012 with a deep voice and a dream.

OK, maybe not a dream, at least when it came to his voice. “I didn’t think it would do anything for me,” says the senior from Alger, Ohio.

But his time at Bluffton has changed his opinion, as he approaches graduation with experience acquired both on stage and in radio, where his career thoughts are leaning.

Attention high school seniors.

There's still time to have your senior portraits taken.

Icon advertiser Elysian Fields Photography, LLC, is Kerry Bush, Bluffton, a portrait photographer. She is available for a variety of photos ranging from weddings, senior pictures, family portraits, engagements, and pets to whatever photographic needs are required.

The Icon welcomes a new blogger and columnist, Emily Ulrey.

Viewers will soon find her blogs and interviews with area senior citizens as a regular Icon feature.

Here's some background on Emily:

I have been a resident of Bluffton for the past 25 years.  I live in Bluffton with my husband, Nate, and our three daughters.

I recently gave up my full time RN job to stay home, which is truly an adventure.
