While much of Bluffton is still in the dark, clean up continues after the June 29 wind storm. Among the most common site in Bluffton includes power company vehicles and tree removal trucks.

A familiar sound is private citizenss' generators. That sound indicates where neighborhoods are without power.

As of mid-afternoon on Monday The Icon understands that power remains out on Sunset Drive, the south side of the large East College Avenue neighborhood, much of the south side of Grove Street and Riley View Apartments among other spots in the village.

Bluffton Hospital's telephone system went down Monday afternoon and Centennial Hall lost power.

Jamie Mehaffie, village administratrator, provided the following information to The Icon.

o The Bluffton Community Swimming Pool will reopen on Tuesday.
o J.D. Snyder Excavating is assisting village crews in taking brush to the Spring Street recycling center. Clean up started on the west side of the village and is progressing to the east side as this is written.
o Several residents have asked how they may help the village in clean up. Mehaffie said that the Triplett Bike Path, Maple Grove Cemetery and village parks will probably be a low priority for cleanup by village crews. He encourages volunteer to focus on those areas.
o Mehaffie said that he appreciations the residents who were able to take their own brush to the dump.
