Bob and Bev Amstutz - their community involvement is endless - named Lions Club Citizens of the Year
Congratulations Bob and Bev.
Community volunteers Bob and Bev Amstutz are the 2012 Bluffton Lions Club Citizens of the Year. The announcement was made this week.
The couple will be honored by the Lions in a dinner open to the public at 6 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, in the Bluffton town hall. John Harris will cater the dinner. Tickets are $13 each and are available from Lion Club members.
The Amstutzes have two lifetimes of involvement in countless community activities. Their most recent recognition was being selected as parade marshals of the 2012 Bluffton Blaze of Lights parade. They were active participants in the citizens-led income tax initiative to renovate the Bluffton town hall. They are also active in the Swiss Community Historical Society.
Bob is a graduate of Beaverdam High School. He is a past board member of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, member of the Bluffton American Legion Post 382, Lions Club member and member of the Bluffton sesquicentennial board.
Bev is a Bluffton High School graduate. She is also a past board member of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce. She served as the chamber’s “welcome wagon” host. As director of the village cultural affairs committee, she chaired the 2011 Bluffton sesquicentennial celebration.
