Friends of the Library used book sale April 10-17
The Bluffton Friends of the Library will hold a used book sale April 10 through 17 during normal library hours. In and around the Apple Shed in the library poatrons will find mysteries, children's books, self-help books, craft books, biographies, and other fiction and non-fiction books. There will also be DVDs, VCR tapes, books on tape, magazines, and journals.
Also on sale will be a section of large print books. All materials will be for sale for a donation only.
"In the past Bluffton and surrounding area residents have been very generous," said Jan Potter of the Friends. "We thank you for that and hope you will continue to help maintain the library and its many wonderful programs."
Proceeds from the sale help fund library programs including the Summer
Children's Reading Program. As an example of how monies raised by the
Friends are spent, last December the Friends gave the Library $1,000 to purchase new books as a kick off to their Buck$ for Book$ campaign.
The Friends of the Library are always looking for donations of books,
DVDs, tapes, magazines and other media materials. Patrons may drop them off at the library at any time, and may ask for the tax deduction
form when bringing in donations.
Jane Austen tickets still available
Tickets are still available at the circulation desk in the library for "Tea with Jane Austen" Thursday, April 29, at 5:45 p.m. in the Richland Room of the library. Ticket are $10 for members of the Friends and $12 for non-members.
