Primary Care Physician, North Baltimore Medical & Diagnostic Center
A day in the life of a primary care physician is a dynamic blend of science, service and connection. These doctors are often the first point of contact for individuals seeking medical care, making them the cornerstone of the healthcare system. From the moment they walk into their clinic or office, their day is a balance of diagnosing, educating, and supporting patients across a wide spectrum of health concerns. Behind every chart, every examination, and every conversation is a dedicated professional working to improve the well-being of each person who walks through the door.

To manage musculoskeletal conditions, joint and soft tissue injections are widely used in pain management, primary care, orthopedic and rheumatologic settings. These procedures provide diagnostic clarity and therapeutic relief, offering patients a non-surgical option for pain management and inflammation control. For individuals with arthritis, bursitis, tendinitis or localized soft tissue injuries, injections can offer targeted relief and improve function, especially when conservative measures like rest, physical therapy and oral medications have not provided sufficient benefit.

It’s that time of year again when most of us are headed outside for some adventures and fresh air, but there are a few insects we should be prepared for. In 1578, Dr. Guillaume de Baillou of France recorded the first known outbreak of whooping cough in Paris. The cough has a high-pitched whoop sound lending itself to the common name of whooping cough. The medical term for whooping cough is pertussis. Due to the long duration of the cough from 6-10 weeks or longer, whooping cough has also been referred to as the 100-day cough.
