Final NW Ohio soccer coaches polls

The final 2020 Northwest Ohio Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association poll has Bluffton boys ranked first and Bluffton girls sixth. The polls are attached

Undefeated season

Bluffton High School boys' soccer team completed its first-ever undefeated regular season, at 14-0-2 after finishing off Kalida last night. The Pirates, ranked 2nd in the Division III state poll tied Division I Perrysburg and Division II Shawnee. Click here for boys' scores. BHS girls finished the regular season at 13-2-1. Women's ride to vote rally Saturday in Bluffton

Sponsored by AHEAD - event celebrates 100 years of women's right to vote

A women’s ride to vote rally takes place in Bluffton on Saturday, Oct. 17, sponsored by Allen and Hardin for Election Action and Democracy (AHEAD).

The rally celebrates 100 years of women’s right to vote and features several speakers, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick. The event takes place at 216 W. Elm St., Bluffton, from 10 a.m. to noon. Elm Street will be closed from Lawn to Spring during the rally.

Adult league play signup underway at BFR

Bluffton Family Recreation is taking registrations for several adult league play that starts in November.

• Coed volleyball  – The next set of league play is from Nov. 22 to Dec. 13. The deadline for team registrations is Nov. 15. The fee is $120 per team.

• Indoor soccer – Session 1 begins Nov. 22

• Indoor flag football – Session 1 begins Nov. 28

12th win in a row for girls' soccer team

Diller scores 3 goals, Garmatter, Matthews score 1 each as Coldwater falls 5-0

BLUFFTON - Allison Diller scored a hat trick to lead the Bluffton girls soccer team to a regular season-ending 5-0 shutout win over visiting Coldwater Thursday night.

With their 12th win in a row, the Lady Pirates improved to 13-2-1. Coldwater fell to .500 at 8-8 with the defeat.

Diller found the back of the net in the third, 10th and 36th minutes of play to give Bluffton a 3-0 halftime lead.
