Football: Beavers hope to get back on track against Anderson

The Beavers traveled to Hanover, Ind., to take on the Hanover College Panthers in an HCAC match-up on Saturday, Oct. 19. It was a rough day for Bluffton as a determined Hanover team took care of business, handing the visitors a 41-0 loss. The Beavers slipped to 1-6 on the season and 1-4 in the HCAC, while Hanover improved to 2-4 and 2-2 in the Heartland Conference.

Volunteers provide free tax help for low-income working families and seniors in Allen County

The Internal Revenue Service is seeking new and returning volunteers to help low-income working families and seniors in Allen County and elsewhere prepare and file their federal income taxes during the 2014 tax return filing season.

Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present  “Zombie Prom” on Oct. 24-27 at 7:30 p.m. and two matinee performances on Oct. 26-27 at 2 p.m.

Ailey II dancers on Freed Center state Oct. 27-28

Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present  “Ailey II” on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m. A master class will be offered in the Biggs Theatre on Monday, Oct 28, at 10 a.m. to anyone who purchased a ticket.

Nov. 2 holiday craft and food fest in Ada

Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main St., Ada, will host a Holiday Craft and Food Fest, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 2.

Deb Curlis of Community Health Professionals, said, "Shop for holiday crafts, food from your favorite farm market vendors and more."

The fest is open to the public and a festive lunch is available.
