Dancers Elite open house Aug. 28; registration for classes underway

Dancers Elite, Bluffton, will have an open house for new (and old) students on Wednesday, Aug. 28, from 6-8 p.m., according to Deb Garlock, studio owner.

Register for classes in ballet, tap, jazz and cheer for ages 3 and up.

"We provide small class sizes and the lowest tuition prices around," said Garlock. "Join us for our 34th year."

End-of-summer, start-of-fall weekend events in Bluffton

Several end-of-summer and start-of-a-new-season events take place in Bluffton this weekend.

• Jeanne's Kitchen on Vine Street will hold an "end of summer cook-out" on Saturday, Aug. 24.

“We will serve dinner on Saturday night instead of Friday. Smoke Master Mark Bedell will be grilling ribs, chicken, sausage, and pulled pork. We will have cole slaw, baked beans and corn on the cob,” Jeanne Previte told The Icon.

“Dinner hours are 5-7:30 p.m. No reservation is necessary. We hope to be outside and inside,” she added.
