Adults who are ready to take the next step to advance in their careers are encouraged to take part in Bluffton University’s Zoom at Noon week of events, Monday through Friday, April 20-24.
Each session will run from noon to 12:30 p.m. Participants will explore admission requirements, take an in-depth look at the curriculum and program format, and have the opportunity to ask enrollment staff and program directors questions.

Bluffton professor develops online literacy resource for older students

While observing her students work on basic phonics skills with incarcerated youth at the Allen County Juvenile Detention Center, Dr. Amy Mullins, assistant professor of education, encountered a problem. The teens were embarrassed to use materials designed for young children.
“Our students tried re-covering their books with white paper to hide the titles,” said Mullins. “Then, we started looking online, but we couldn’t find anything appropriate.”
Program allows Bluffton educator preparation majors to obtain student teaching and field experience hours while providing a service to the wider community
Families are encouraged to use this resource for homework help and educational enrichment.
When schools closed their doors in Endwell, New York, in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19, Michelle (Nakoneczny ’99) Arron was concerned about keeping her sons engaged in learning.
Then she logged onto Facebook and saw a post from her alma mater, Bluffton University.

Lydia Lugibihl, a senior food and nutrition major with a concentration in business, utilized her minors in marketing and business administration to enhance her experience at Bluffton University.
The Pandora native spent the spring 2019 semester in Washington, D.C., at the Washington Community Scholars’ Center (WCSC), and this fall she joined the student leadership team of the Bluffton Bread Company.
