Lots of 2015-16 items on school board agenda

Bluffton school board's Monday focus is on the 2015-16 school year. Several considerations for next year are on the monthly agenda.

Those items includes:
• Elementary, middle school and high school fees
• Several contracts and assignments
• Three classified contracts
• Supplemental contracts
• Handbook approvals

The board will also act to approve a planned high school band trip to New Orleans, La., from March 2-6, 2016.

Ebenezer Mennonite Disciple Singers musical April 26

Ebenezer Mennonite Church children’s choir, Disciple Singers, will present a spring musical called “Here for the Gold” on Sunday morning, April 26, at 10:15 a.m. in the Crossroads Ministry Center.  

The church is located at 8905 Columbus Grove Rd, Bluffton.  Everyone is welcome.

Anderson takes down Bluffton 11-8 in series opener

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University baseball team hosted Anderson University on Friday, April 17, to start a three-game series at Memorial Field. The Ravens pulled away with a three-run ninth inning to prevail over the Beavers. Bluffton fell to 17-12 on the season and 10-7 in the HCAC, while Anderson stands atop the HCAC at 20-8 and 12-5 in league play.

Samuel Clemens, known as Mark Twain, known as Van Wert resident Eric Rotsinger, visits the Friends of the Library on April 16. He and his wife, (sitting with him) dressed in costumes of the period, presented a lively program.
