Letter: Give Richard Boehr support - he's doing a good job

Icon viewers:

It’s about time that Blufftonites stick up for Richard Boehr and all that he has done for Bluffton, including the Shannon Cemetery, which he is thoroughly trying to improve. Where were all you complainers when the cemetery was in shambles?

Why is it that the person in this town who does something productive, gets blasted from people who do nothing but cause turmoil?

The good souls who live above ground and now who will be memorialized are shaking their fingers at the people who can’t leave well enough alone.

Letter: Voice concern and possible solution to lack of stoplight at Main and College

May 26, 2015

Dear Village of Bluffton council members, Mayor Augusburger, and Mr. Mehaffie,

Thank you so much for listening to my concerns about pedestrian safety at the intersection of College and Main at your streets and alleys committee meeting on May 18.

Since that meeting, I have observed vehicle and pedestrian traffic before and after school. On Tuesday, May 19, I counted 200 cars in the intersection in the 15-minute span between 3 and 3:15 p.m. Only two drivers stopped to allow pedestrians to use the crosswalk.

Letter to the editor: from Senior Citizens board

The Board of Directors and the staff of the Bluffton Senior Center would like to thank Rick and Ruth Grihalva from Forever in Stitches for the very generous donation after they closed the retail side of their business. They gifted the Senior Center with much fabric, kits and sewing notions. The sewers at the Senior Center will be set for quite a while.

Thank You,

Bluffton Senior Citizens board
