Here's today's installment of the Bluffton High School Class of 2020 Senior Spotlight. Each weekday until the end of May the Icon will feature photos and future plans for four BHS seniors.  Students will be featured in a four-set random order.

HCAC announces sportsmanship awards

The Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) announced the Christopher M. Ragsdale Sportsmanship teams for the Spring 2020 season.

Bluffton University honorees:
Baseball - Alex Lemanski
Golf - Nick Offenburger
Softball - Megan Hill
Men's track - Michael Lindhorst
Women's track - Hope Nixon

Additional services reopening in Ohio

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine provided the following COVID-19 updates. 

PANDEMIC EBT PLAN:

Governor DeWine announced that the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (OJFS) has received approval from the United States Department of Agriculture for its Pandemic EBT plan. The Pandemic EBT program was included in the Families First Coronavirus Response Act of 2020.

My awesome teacher - Mrs. Fry

Teacher Appreciation Week was May 4-8. In cooperation with the Bluffton PTO, the Icon is posting drawings of elementary teachers created by elementary students. Abram Steiner, second grader, created this drawing of his teacher, Mrs. Fry.

Welcome to the Icon's feature "Wear your mask proudly." We invite viewers to send a photo of themselves wearing a mask. 

It's a way to encourage viewers to wear masks when in public and to recognize those who are thoughtful enough to take the time to wear one.
