Contracts for 2016-17 school year are a major item on the Thursday, May 26, Apollo Career Center school board agenda.
One of those items to be considered is the hiring of Karen Falk, Family and Consumer Science instructor for the 2016-17 school year, on the Bluffton salary schedule and fringe benefits following the Bluffton school calendar.

A Bluffton Pirates boys' youth basketball camp is scheduled for Tuesday, May 31, through Friday, June 3, according to Todd Boblitt, BHS varsity boys' coach.
The camp for first, second, third and fourth graders takes place from 10 a.m. to noon. The camp for fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders is from 1 to 3 p.m.
The cost per camper is $30. Early registration is encouraged. Make checks payable to Pirate Basketball Camp and send to Todd Boblitt, 404 S. Main St., Bluffton.
Three area students were named to the Ohio Northern University spring dean’s list. They are: Molly Moser, daughter of Bruce and Cindy Moser, 6485 Grismore Rd, Columbus Grove. She is a junior majoring in accounting. Elita Smith, daughter of Jeffrey and Melinda Smith, 517 Clint Drive, Ada. She is a senior majoring in management. Stephen Tatarkov, son of Svetlana Tatarkov, 10970 Phillips Road, Bluffton. He is a senior majoring in mechanical engineering.
The deans’ list includes students who attain a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 grading system.
The Bluffton High School Class of 1966 will hold its 50th class reunion on Sept. 9-10-11, according to event planners.
Class members will meet in the Bluffton town hall at 6:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 9, prior to the 7:30 p.m. home football game.
On Saturday, class members will tour the high school. A dinner and program takes place Saturday evening in the town hall. A farewell coffee time is planned on Sunday morning.
Bluffton recycling and trash customers were notified via post card last week about changes in Bluffton collection days by Republic Services, the village contractor.
The card, however explained pick up days referring to “north” of Main Street and “south” of Main Street.
Translation: “North” of Main means “west” of Main. “South” of Main means “east” of Main.
With that translation, beginning the week of June 6:
• Collection day for all residents east of Main is Monday.
• Collection day for all residents west of Main is Wednesday.
the 10th annual County Line Church of the Brethren car show is from noon to 3 p.m., Saturday, July 9, at the church, 4227 N. Hardin Road, Harrod.
In addition to the car show there is a chicken barbecue from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brabecue tickets are $8 each and must be ordered in advance by calling 419-649-5364.

The men’s and women’s soccer teams at Bluffton University will host a Soccer Day Camp Monday, June 13-Thursday, June 16.
The camp is open to girls and boys ages 5-13. Students aged 5-7 will learn new skills from 9-11:30 a.m. and students aged 7-13 will have sessions from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Registration fee is $70 for ages 5-7 and $170 for ages 7-13.
