This is a continuing series about the many Bluffton events planned in June.

The third annual 5K run/walk for Literacy, hosted by the Friends of the Bluffton Public Library is at 9 a.m., Saturday, June 4.

The Dough Hook, 117 N. Main St., Bluffton, has a new feature that offers fresh meals for a family of four on a weekly basis, according to Marlena Ballinger.

The program includes three meals per week for $49, which comes to $4.08 per person per meal.

Ballinger said that the meal boxes work like this:
After reviewing the menu a week ahead of time, customers may place orders and choose what day the boxes will be picked up.

Several Bluffton area students are on the Rhodes State College 2016 Spring Semester Dean’s Lists for part-time and full-time students.

Part-time students: 
To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in at least six but not more than 11 credit hours and earn a 3.5 grade point average or higher.

What is Relay for Life?

Relay for Life is an organized overnight event for the community. It is for individuals, teams, families and survivors. Teams walk overnight to help raise money and support for American cancer.

Thru the night there will be a survivor meal followed by the survivor first lap. We have food, games for children, entertainment, pie, silent and chair auctions 5K glow run. It is a very community and family environment.

What makes relay special?

Gary Reese of Faith Investment Services in Bluffton, recently spoke six times as a presenter for the Spring cfd Investments Conference in Kokomo, Ind.  

He, along with 11 other presenters, was asked to speak about best business practices and areas of strength in his financial firm.  The 12 presenters were all qualifiers for the cfd Presidential Advisers trip to Playa del Carman, Mexico in February.  

The Village of Bluffton’s Utility Committee will meet on Monday, June 6,  at 7 p.m. at the town hall, according to Nancy Kindle, fiscal officer.

Spectrum Salon will hold a cut-a-thon Saturday, June 18, according to Mandy Kinn, owner.

The event is at the salon, 442 N. Main St., Bluffton. It takes place from 9 a.m. to noon. All proceeds go to the Women's Good Samaritan Group, Bluffton.
