FROM FACEBOOK__This week the Ada Area Chamber of Commerce is joined by Ada merchants and restaurants in special Third Thursday opportunities from 5:00-8:00 p.m.

Participating businesses include Beatitudes Ada, Bee Home, Our Garden of Gifts, The Mercantile on Main and all restaurants.

This is the second Third Thursday event promoted by the chamber. The December Third Thursday event will take place on the 18th.

"Planning to stop in for a workout or some open gym time?

"We love seeing so many faces in the building this time of year! As programs, practices, and leagues are in full swing, space in the gym and arena can fill up quickly.

FROM FACEBOOK__ The works of photographer Jan Bell is on exhibit at Bluffton University's Grace Albrecht Gallery, Sauder Visual Arts Center. The exhibit "Quiet Contemplation" opened on October 20 and runs through December 5. A reception with the artist will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16 with an artist's talk at 1:30 p.m.

MARION__The Bluffton High School bowling teams competed well in the annual Ridgedale Rocket Baker Bash tournament at Cooper’s Bowl in Marion on Saturday, November 15.
The Pirate boys took second place out of 11 teams at the event, while the Bluffton girls made a top-four showing amid a field of 14 squads.

The Pirate boys bowled 203-206-182-186=777 in game one.

BLUFFTON__The Bluffton High School bowling teams opened the season with an extremely close dual match defeat vs. Miller City, playing at Southgate Lanes on Friday evening, November 14.

BOYS RESULTS
By one pin, the Wildcats won the boys match by the narrowest of margins, 2,547-2,546.

Bluffton won the two-game set by 10 pins 1,843 to 1,833. But MC came back to take the Baker series set by 11 to rally and win, 714-703.

The #7 Pandora-Gilboa Rockets (9-4) playoff run came to an end Friday night, November 14, following their Division VII Region 26 Regional Semi-Final match-up against rival #3 Leipsic, 36-28. Too many costly penalties, missed opportunities, and two turnovers proved to be the difference in the rematch. In week 4, Leipsic (11-1) beat P-G 12-7.
