Letitia M. (“Tish”) Triplett passed away on the evening of March 17, 2026, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Tish was born in Bluffton, Ohio on August 3, 1962, the daughter of M. Morris and Jean Hoover Triplett. She was a 1980 graduate of Bluffton High School, and went on to graduate from Bluffton College and the Ohio Institute of Photography in Dayton. Her great-grandfather, Will A. Triplett, was the first commercial photographer in Bluffton.
As an elected representative of Bluffton, I'd like to pass on this press release from the Ohioans to Protect Public Services coalition, which gives an overview of the uses and purpose of property taxes in local government.
I strongly recommend that Ohioans educate themselves on how property taxes fund their local government services and the consequences of losing that revenue.
