BFR offers soccer, baseball and softball winter training; first session starts soon
BFR Sports and Fitness will offer indoor sport training clinics this winter. Soccer clinics will be offered in January and February on Friday afternoons. Baseball and Softball clinics will be held in February on Thursday afternoons.
Soccer players (U12 and older) are invited for a Keeper Clinic and Striker Clinic held Fridays beginning Jan. 9. These two clinics will meet from 4-5:15 p.m. in the BFR indoor arena for five weeks.
Dylan Beck and TJ Routson will lead the programs. Beck and Routson played the keeper position at the collegiate level plus have years of youth and high school coaching experience.
The Keeper clinic will focus on catching, diving and quickness. The Striker clinic will focus on shooting technique and scoring awareness. Space is limited to six participants in each clinic; registration is available online (www.bfronline.com) and by telephone (419-358-4150).
Cost for the keeper clinic is $85 and includes a pair of goalie gloves. Cost for the striker clinic is $45. A second session of the clinics will be offered from Feb. 13- March 13.
Batting and fielding will be the emphasis of the clinics offered in February at BFR. Baseball and Softball players, U12 and older, can get ready for the outdoor season from the 90 minute training sessions.
Baseball players will meet on Thursday, Feb. 19, March 5 and March 19. Softball players will meet on Feb. 26, March 12, and March 26. Registration is available by the week for $15 or for 3 sessions at $40.Each session will have a maximum of 12 participants. Evan Skilliter, BFR Sport Coordinator, will lead the sessions with assistance from area coaches. Registration is available online (www.bfronline.com) or by telephone (419-358-4150).
