Apollo Adult Education offering self-defense class for women
Apollo Career Center Adult Education will offer a one night a week self- defense class for women this winter. The class will be held every Tuesday night from 6-9 p.m., beginning Tuesday, Jan. 16, and ending Feb. 13, and will be instructed of Sean Neidemire, detective, Lima Police Department
During this class, women will learn basic self-defense skills and techniques they can employ in an attack. Students will have improved awareness to avoid dangerous situations as well as the knowledge and skills to defend themselves against an attacker in various situations by the end of the class.
This class is an active participation class, where students will actually learn, practice, and apply the techniques. While this course is not a fitness course, students must be able to handle some physical activity. This program is open to any female (no age restriction) wishing to learn how to protect themselves.
