Crime Victim Services volunteer guardianship info session on Sept. 25
The next Crime Victim Services information session on volunteer guardianship is Wednesday, Sept. 25, according to Elysia Bush of Bluffton, director, Elderly Victim Ministry and CVS Guardian Programs.
The sessions take place in the CVS training room, 220 N. Elizabeth St., Lima. Sessions are offered at noon and at 6 p.m.
Bush said, “Helping a vulnerable person live to that person’s full potential deepens the reach of Allen and Putnam County’s caring community.
“Court-sworn guardians of the person are needed to make decisions related to social services, housing and healthcare for individuals unable to make those decisions solely by themselves.”
Since the program began in 2017, CVS has recruited eight volunteers and five
CVS Volunteer Guardianship cases are current or in the application process.
CVS serves an average of 20 cases a year screening referred cases and providing support to family guardians.
Reserve a spot on by calling Crime Victim Services, 419-222-8666, or email [email protected].
