Rumpke trash and recycling begins May 4
Village of Bluffton will begin a new trash and recycling contract with Rumpke Waste & Recycling effective Monday, May 4.

The village underwent a bid process this winter and Rumpke was the lowest bid. With the new carrier, residents will continue to receive weekly trash and recycling services.
In a news release, Rumpke stated: The village and Rumpke share the same goal of providing a quality and cost-effective service to the residents of Bluffton.
Residents will be receiving a mailer with detailed information regarding their new service provider.
Important information to note:
• Rumpke recycling and trash carts will be delivered to residents beginning June 1, 2020.
• Residents will see the new rate of $19.56 for trash and recycling service on utility bills to be paid by June 10.
• Service days will remain the same.
• Customer service questions can be directed to Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171.
Rumpke is committed to recycling. Acceptable recycling items are:
• Plastic bottles and jugs (please empty, flatten and reattach the lid)
• Beverage cartons
• Glass bottles and jars (any color)
• • Aluminum and steel cans
• Empty aerosol cans (with lids and tips removed)
• Paperboard (cereal boxes, 12-pack containers, etc.)
• Cardboard (please flatten)
• Paper products, including newspaper, magazines, office paper, junk mail and envelopes.
