Cory-Rawson art showcased
COLUMBUS– At the Ohio Middle Level Association annual state conference, held in Columbus November 10-11, 2022, a Cory-Rawson teacher was recognized and two students had art showcased in the event.

Ashley was recognized because she goes above and beyond to build relationships with students and because of these relationships is able to tap into a student's full potential. She is creative, innovative and not afraid to push the norm.
Two Cory-Rawson students had artwork displayed in the statewide art exhibit. Seventh grader Elle Thines's work, “Eye Self-Portrait,” and “Eye Portrait” by Kaedyn Witteman, eighth grade, were selected to be showcased.
The 2022 Ohio Middle Level Association state conference marked the organization’s 50th such event. More than 9,500 individuals are members of OMLA. Founded in 1973 by a group of middle level educators, OMLA is the fastest growing professional organization in Ohio. Members include people at all levels of the profession– teachers, administrators, supervisors, parents, college personnel, state department officials and students. It is governed by an executive board made up of elected officers and regional representatives. OMLA became affiliated with the National Middle School Association in 1975 and has become the official voice for Ohio’s middle level people.
