Arrive early for sold out Messiah performances
Bluffton University’s 130th and 131st performances of Handel’s “Messiah” have been sold out. Doors to both performances will open at 7 p.m. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and have their tickets ready.
The 130th performance will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, in Yoder Recital Hall, Bluffton University, and the 131st performance will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, in Winebrenner Auditorium, University of Findlay.
Dr. SeaHwa Jung, associate professor of music and chair of visual and performing arts at University of Findlay, will conduct the nearly 100 participant chorus consisting of singers from Bluffton Choral Society, University of Findlay Choir, College First Church of God Choir and Findlay Civic Choir. Soloists are Erin Alcorn, soprano; Andrew Lipian, countertenor; Brian Skoog, tenor; and Jeremiah Sanders, baritone.
Nearly 1,000 people combined for both performances at Bluffton and Findlay will come together to enjoy this holiday tradition.
The Messiah performances are made possible due to generous support from the Krehbiel-Raid-Pankratz endowment.
