Music teachers around the world want you back!  On Saturday, Oct. 19, give music lessons a second chance for only $5.

Krysti’s Music Studio is participating in this world-wide event and will donate every penny raised to Musicians on Call, a non-profit organization that brings live music, happiness, and hope to the bedsides of hospital patients.

Be certain to visit the open house at Town and Country Flowers, 121 S. Main St., Bluffton, during Saturday's Bluffton Fall Festival.

Connie Kruse of Town and Country said that the shop will have a drawing for a fall silk wreath and will be serving fresh apple cider during the event.

Bluffton Center for Entrepreneurs recently held its 2013 reorganization meeting and elected officers for 2013-14.

Board officers elected are Brendon Matthews, president; Dick McGarrity, vice president; Ryan Lowry, secretary and Dave Steiner, treasurer.

Board members whose terms were renewed are Laura Voth, Dick McGarrity, Dave Steiner and George Lehman.

Two new board members joined the board. They are Katie Keifer and Dennis Gallant.

Other board members are Mitch Kingsley, Steve Ritter, Hans Houshower, Jeff Sprague and Cameron Warner.

Citizens National Bank, 102 S. Main St., Bluffton, will hold a customer appreciation day Friday, Sept. 20.

The event is from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. It features free pulled pork sandwiches, brats, chips and cookies. Plus, customers may enter to win door prizes including a grill package.

 

Jeanne's Kitchen, 112 Vine St., is now open at 8 a.m. serving coffee and assorted fresh homemade pastries, according to Jeanne Previte, owner.

Samantha Erter of Kenton and a graduate of Columbus Culinary at Bradford School, Columbus, is Jeanne's pastry chef. 

What started as a family adventure in 1998 turned into 15 years of an established business in downtown Bluffton. That family adventure is The Black Lab Trading Co.

Ben Sprunger bought the historic building located 121 N. Main St., that has housed many businesses over the 100-plus years. Some of these businesses include an opera house, general mercantile store, Basinger's Furniture, Jan’s and others.
