Bluffton became a tropical paradise on Saturday thanks to efforts of the Bluffton High School junior class.
It was prom night, and the host class created its tropical paradise for seniors and guests in Marbeck Center at Bluffton University.
Because of predicted rain, the traditional promenade, which is just as much fun as prom itself, took prom attendees through Founders Hall to Marbeck. And, inside Founders, all the prom parents and friends had front row seats to view this year's prom styles.
Several artists with Bluffton connections were winners or had works accepted in the Spring Show at ArtSpace/Lima, 65-67 Town Square.
The show is open through June 3 in The Ellen Nelson Gallery of Artspace, according to Bill Sullivan, director.
Area artists winning awards include:
Winner of The Jack Earl Award for best of show
