The Bluffton HIgh School String Chamber Ensemble will perform at OMEA State Orchestra Adjudicated Event on Friday, Feb. 26, at Bowling Green Middle School.
The ensemble will be performing in class "B" at 5:55 p.m. Selections include "Contrasts in E minor," "Lullaby" and "M to the 3rd Power."
The ensemble is under the direction of Rachael E. Lewis
The Rockford University Board of Trustees announced that Eric Fulcomer, Ph.D., has been appointed as the 18th president of Rockford University, Rockford, Ill., and to succeed Robert L. Head, Ph.D., who is retiring June 30, 2016.
Dr. Fulcomer is the current vice rresident for enrollment management at Rockford University and has more than two decades of leadership experience in higher education.
The next PrimeTimers event is on Tuesday, March 1, at St. John Mennonite Church, 15988 Road 2, Pandora.
PrimeTimers is a non-denominational, community fellowship gathering for adults 55 and over hosted at St. John Mennonite Church in Pandora. This event will feature a hymn sing, with Dr. Joyce Jackson accompanying on piano.
The meal will include: baked ham, scalloped potatoes, glazed carrots, dinner rolls, coleslaw, cupcakes and coffee. There is no cost for the event, but donations are accepted.

The following officers were re-elected: Fred Rodabaugh, president; Ed Yeager, vice-president; Deb Beer, secretary; and Sam Diller, treasurer.
Three board members were re-elected to the board. They areYeager, Rodabaugh and Bob Fett. Each will have a three-year term.
Continuing board members are Beer, Wally Buroker, Mary Fett, Dr. Matthew Jordan, Lois Goodman and Kathy Rode.

Bluffton artist Judith Greavu, associate professor emeritus in art at Ohio Northern, is the winner of the 2016–17 Ocala, Florida, Outdoor Sculpture Competition.
Her winning sculpture, titled “Tri Bio, was installed last week in Tuscawilla Park in Ocala.
The competition received over 100 entries from across North America. A selection jury comprised of local community and art organization representatives selected only 10 artists to advance in the competition and travel to Tuscawilla Park for a 20-month exhibit in honor of the park’s centennial anniversary.
