Orders are now being placed for this summer’s downtown flowerpots.
According to Susie and Steve Stratton of Stratton Greenhouses, “This is our 12th year for providing the potted plants on Main Street.”

To make this happen Strattons invite contributions to keep the program going. This year the sponsorships are $130 per pot. If payments are received by Saturday, March 24, the cost is $120 per pot.
Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce takes a step back in time on Friday.
Fred Steiner of the Bluffton Icon will share photos and talk about his newly released photo history book, “The Bluffton We Never Knew.”
The book has nearly 170 photos, mostly taken by pioneer photographer Will Triplett (Ropp Triplett’s grandfather). The photos show Bluffton as it grew up during its first half-century of 1861 to 1911.
Copies of the book will be on sale at the breakfast.
This announcement is from Ohio Department of Transportation involving Monday work on I-75:
Interstate 75 southbound, just north of Beaverdam, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during repair of cable rail in the median on Monday, March 5.
The restriction will be in place from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Work is being performed by ODOT District 1 Roadway Sevices. Traffic control by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.
Just like the temperature, the daily work of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) fluctuates between winter and spring.
“This is the time of year where we must continue to be ready for snow and ice, but also respond to potholes which can develop quickly in pavements due to freeze and thaw,” said Kirk Slusher, deputy director for the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1.
