Ohio Department of Transportation released the following details of Interstate 75 construction around Findlay. The following impacts to traffic related to the reconstruction and widening of Interstate 75 through Findlay and Hancock County are scheduled to occur in the coming weeks:

Stratton Greenhouses working on this year's program

Orders are now being placed for this summer’s downtown flowerpots.

According to Susie and Steve Stratton of Stratton Greenhouses, “This is our 11th year for providing the potted plants on Main Street.”

To make this happen the Strattons invite contributions to keep the program going. This year, like last year, the sponsorships are $125 per pot. If sponsored by Monday, March 27, the cost is $115 per pot.

Registration underway at elementary office

Kindergarten screening for the 2017-18 school year in the Bluffton school district takes place Monday and Tuesday, April 3 and 4.

Any child who will be 5 years old by Aug. 1, 2017, is eligible to enroll. Contact the elementary office at 419-358-7951 with the following information:

Fifth time since 2005 by Truven Health Analytics

Blanchard Valley Hospital (BVH) was recently named one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals by Truven Health Analytics, part of the IBM Watson Health business. This is the fifth time BVH has been recognized with this honor. Previous years in which the organization received this distinction include 2005, 2011, 2015 and 2016.

Opening date for market is Saturday, May 6

The Bluffton Farmers' Market vendors will hold its pre-season meeting in late March, according to Greg Probst, director.

The meeting, open to anyone interested in learning about being a vendor, is at 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 28, in the third floor of the town hall.

At that meeting Probst will explain the rules and regulations and vendor fees of the market and will allow vendors to sign up for the entire season.

This year's opening date is Saturday, May 6. The market is open from 8:30 a.m. to noon each Saturday through October - rain or shine.

Bluffton council has several meetings set in March and April. Those meetings follow:

• Monday, March 21 - SSI computer demonstration, town hall, 6 p.m.
• Monday, March 27 - Council  meeting, town hall, 8 p.m.
• Thursday, April 6 - Street and alley committee and
   Bluffton pathway board, town hall, noon
• Monday, April 10  - Council meeting, town hall 8 p.m.
• Monday, April 10 - Alley vacation public hearing, town hall, 8:15 p.m.
