Bentley Road bridge making progress

When will the Bentley Road overpass be opened again?

Everyone in Bluffton asks that question. Here's some photos to show the stage of the project at the moment.

Technically there are two bridges on Bentley Road (one over Interstate 75 and one over the railroad). The bridge replacement started in early June and the bridge will be closed until sometime in September. 

Both the southbound entrance and exit ramps at Bentley Road are also closed.

News rules by the Ohio Medical, Dental and Nursing Boards go into effect this week for prescribers using opioids to treat acute pain. The provisions of the new rules are designed to address overprescribing of opioid medications to reduce possible abuse and diversion.

Sept. 5 ribbon cutting and dedication of Lions Way Parkview

Bluffton’s Lions Way bike and pedestrian pathway will grow significantly following a 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 5, ribbon cutting and dedication of the Lions Way Parkview Path.

The ribbon cutting, open to the public, takes place at the pathway recognition sign just off Parkview Drive. Persons can enter Parkview from either Main or Jackson streets.

The Parkview path is a significant piece in the entire pathway project, according to Richard Ramseyer, president of the bike and pedestrian pathway board.

What's for lunch at Bluffton schools in September?

1st day of school 2017 18

You won't see this plate on any vehicle. But, you will see it on Tyler Hochstetler, Bluffton police sergeant's office wall. Hochstetler received the plate during a recognition event in 2016 from MADD of Allen-Hancock-Putnam counties for the number of DUI arrests that he made.
