Lewis Family McDonald’s is giving people a break on tax day. Participating locations will be offering a special promotion for its guests on Monday, April 18. Customers who buy a Quarter Pounder with Cheese can get the second for just 18 cents.

“Our customers look forward to our tax relief special each year,” said Jerry Lewis, local McDonald’s owner/operator. “This promotion is just one more way to offer great value.”

The promotion is available at McDonald’s in Lima, Bluffton, Delphos, Ada, Van Wert, Beaverdam, Ottawa, Upper Sandusky, Carey, Kenton, and Hicksville.

 

Bluffton Child Development Center invites Icon viewers to join in its current fundraising campaign, according to Francine Donathan, director.

She said that fund receives in the campaign will be used to “provide fun educational experiences such as field trips, visitors, gardening and similar projects.”

The Center recently established a “GoFundMe” link for its campaign. Viewers may click here to open the site.

CG Pro Bikes groups rides start this spring at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, according to Liz and Raymond Harner.

"Our evening rides will be every Thursday at 6:30 p.m., for an hour, meet at CG Pro Bikes 127 N. Main St., Bluffton," said the Harners. For more details call the shop at 419-659-2916.

 

 

 

When you think of Main Street Bluffton in the spring and summer do petunias come to mind? While it’s mid-April, it’s time to stop what you are doing and think about smelling the flowers.

According to Susie and Steve Stratton of Stratton Greenhouses, “This will be the 10th year for providing the potted plants on Main Street.”

To make this happen, according to the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce, Steve and Susie are asking for contributions to keep the program going. This year the sponsorships are $125 per pot.

Bluffton post office will hold a passbook fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, at the post office, 132 S. Main St.

Persons needing passports will be able to submit paperwork for a U.S. passport. No prior appointment is needed at this time.

The post office asks persons to bring the following information when applying for the passport:
