Tucker Neff sets school single-game record of 316 yards eclipsing the previous mark of 309 yards by Josh Falk at Ada in 2009

ADA - No it was not a basketball game, but the final score might lead one to think that as visiting Bluffton defeated rival Ada 70-50 in a record-setting Northwest Conference football opening marathon on a warm Friday night.

Pirate senior fullback Tucker Neff rushed for a school single-game record of 316 yards. He eclipsed the previous Bluffton mark of 309 yards set by Josh Falk at Ada in 2009.

Sophomore Ellison Pugsley completed a 3-0 singles sweep

ARCHBOLD - The Bluffton girls tennis team went on the road Saturday and defeated Archbold 4-1.

The Lady Pirate netters improved to 9-6 with the victory over the Blue Streaks.

Senior Erin Hotmire posted a double bagel 6-0, 6-0 win at first singles to improve to 14-3 this season.

Pirate junior Olivia Barnes also won in straight sets at second singles by a 6-3, 6-2 score.

Sophomore Ellison Pugsley completed a 3-0 singles sweep with a comeback 1-6, 6-1, 6-4 victory at third singles.

Bluffton won the Northwest Conference golf tournament in an 18-hole tournament played at the Bluffton Golf Club in Bluffton on Thursday with a team total score of 340. 

The first-place tournament finish also clinched the overall 2019 conference golf championship for the Pirates.

Bluffton defeats Ada 70 to 50

Bluffton High School's football team won an offensive battle, stopping Ada 70 to 50 at Ada.

Bluffton's Tucker Neff set a new single game rushing record of  316 yard, eclipsing Josh Falk's record of 309 yards, also against Ada in 2006.

Bluffton netters fall to Cougars

BLUFFTON - The Bluffton girls tennis team lost 4-1 to visiting Van Wert Thursday evening.

The Lady Pirate netters drop to 8-6 with the defeat.

Senior Erin Hotmire posted the lone Bluffton win at first singles. The Pirate ace cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win over Grace Lott to improve to 13-3 this season.

Pirate junior Olivia Barnes lost a tough match at second singles by a 6-4, 7-5 score.

Bluffton plays at Archbold Saturday, September 21 at 11 a.m.
