Four in double figures for BHS girls'

It was all Bluffton all the time Saturday afternoon in a 65-10 Lady Pirate basketball victory over Perry. 

BHS scored the first 24 points of the contest and put four players in double figures to coast to their ninth win of the season against three losses.  CLICK HERE for the complete story.

Schaadt pours in 20 as BHS girls stop Kenton

Sophomore Libby Schaadt poured in a career high 20 points and Alivia Koenig buried three 3 pointers as Bluffton defeated Kenton 41-30 Tuesday night.  The Pirates improved to 8-3 with the win while the defeat was just the second of the season for Kenton, now 5-2.  COMPLETE STORY AT www.blufftonpirates.com

Four holiday basketball tournaments involving 16 games take place this weekend with Bluffton University men, Bluffton University women, Bluffton High School boys' varsity and Bluffton High School boys' junior varsity playing various opponents.

The schedules follow:

Friday, Dec. 29
2 p.m. - Illinois College vs. Pitt-Greensburg
7 p.m. – Bluffton vs. OSU-Lima

BHS girls' bball: Koenig’s late free throw wins it

(BLUFFTON) - The Lady Pirates have their eyes set on a Northwest Conference crown this season and the first league test came to Pirate Gymnasium Thursday evening in the form of the Crestview Knights.  Pirate junior Alivia Koenig sunk the second of two free throws to give Bluffton the winning point in a 40-39 victory to keep the Pirates perfect in conference play at 2-0.

Pirate football named academic All Ohio

The Bluffton High School football team was honored this week as they were named OHSFCA Academic All Ohio by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association.  “BHS was selected as one of the top 85 academic performing schools in all divisions combined,” per Bluffton head coach Jeff Richards.  The team will receive a certificate for this recognition.
