Bluffton High School and Bluffton University sports fans can find all spring sports home games posted on the Icon sports calendar.

The calendar lists home pages for all varsity spring sports. Another way to access the calendar is to place your curser over the word "Calendar" on the black scroll bar at the top of the home page.

The "sports" calendar will appear in a drop down choice.

Several Bluffton High School winter athletes are Northwest Conference Scholar Athletes for 2016-17.

Gold level - Letter winner in the sport and GPA of 3.5 or above during the season
Silver level - Letter winner in the sport and GPA of 3.00 - 3.49 during the season

Second year in a row for BHS winning sectional title

For the second year in a row, Bluffton High School boys' basketball team advances to the District III district tournament.

The Pirates face Wayne Trace in the second game of a split session at 8 p.m., Thursday, March 9, at Lima Senior High School.

Coldwater and Carey fall by the wayside to the Pirates

Bluffton High School boys’ basketball team upset Carey tonight in the Division III sectional finals at Elida 50 to 39.

Bluffton at 13-11 (number 6 seed) surprised Carey (number 4 seed), who finished the season at 15-8.

The Pirates led 13-10 after one period. The game was tied 22-22 at halftime.  BHS outscored the Blue Devils 13 to 5 in the third period, taking a 35-27 lead. Bluffton then outscored Carey 15 to 12 in the final period.

Gabe Denecker led Bluffton with 22 points.
