The Blaze can't go on without the team of John and Junior

Saturday is "Junior Weihrauch Day in Bluffton." The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce announced the designation at its Nov. 13 breakfast meeting

Watch for these two guy in Bluffton on Saturday.

On the left is John George. On the right is Junior Weihrauch. The Bluffton Blaze of Lights could not happen with them.

John George, as the town crier, has served as Blaze master of ceremonies each year since 1995. You'll find him on the review stand announcing the parade units.

All aboard on Saturday

Romick Railway for kids is one of Bluffton's Blaze popular activities. The railway will be in Saturday's parade. Following the parade it will provide rides of youngsters on Main Street in front of the Senior Citizens Center. (Santa and Mrs. Claus are inside the center.)

And Ronald will be here!

Yes, that's the one and only Ronald McDonald. You'll see him in Saturday's Blaze of Lights parade. This is is second visit to Bluffton Blaze. He was here in 2013 when this photo was taken. The parade starts at 5 p.m. A schedule of event is in the story below.

Free showings of "It's a Wonderful Life" today at 1:30 and 4 p.m.

Stratton Auto Sales and Tommy Tire Sales will sponsor two free showings of the movie "It's a Wonderful Life," on Friday, Nov. 27, at the Shannon Theatre.

Showings are at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

It's a Wonderful Life is a 1946 American Christmas fantasy drama film produced and directed by Frank Capra, based on the short story "The Greatest Gift," which Philip Van Doren Stern wrote in 1939 and published privately in 1945.

The stage is set for the 2015 Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Blaze of Lights. This year’s event, the 29th annual Blaze, begins Saturday, Nov. 28, in downtown Bluffton.
