The Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College traditionally lives up to its name with tough collegiate cross country across fields from five or six NCAA regions. This year’s edition was no exception. The Beaver harriers raced aggressively, producing quality placings and times in this final tune-up prior to the HCAC Championship. The women’s team finish of 16 in a field of 29 teams is the best in school history at this high-caliber meet with the best women’s individual finish produced as well.

Dr. Darryl Nester, professor of mathematics, will present the Colloquium, "Exploring Creativity Through Equations, Words and Sawdust," on Friday, Oct. 27.
During the presentation, Nester will discuss how he found inspiration and occasionally a distraction from Bluffton's 2016-17 Civic Engagement theme with the work he was doing for his fall 2016 sabbatical.
Nester said that one of his goals during his sabbatical was to revise portion of a book he is co-writing with Dr. Hamid Rafizadeh.
