Jonathan Gathman named to CNB Board of Directors

Citizens National Bank (CNB) has named Jonathan Gathman to its Board of Directors. Jon replaces retiring member Stan Clemens of Bluffton, OH.

Jon is currently the Executive Vice President, Strategic Management for Grube, Inc.

Have you ever served breakfast for 50 at 7:00 a.m. on a Friday morning? It’s all part of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce routine on the second Friday of the month from September-June.

This April, director Jim Enneking got a hand with the member meeting from sponsor Northwest Ohio Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, caterer Greenhorn Restaurant and program provider Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD).

United Way holds Rock N’ Roll awards celebration April 25

The United Way of Greater Lima will hold its Rock N’ Roll Awards Celebration for the 2022 campaign beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25 at the OSU Lima Campus Cook Hall Gymnasium.

The event begins with live music from the Happy Jack Band, as well as pizza, wings and soft drinks provided by Westgate Lanes. Social networking will be from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The awards celebration begins at 7:00 p.m.

CNB to host Community Shred Day on April 28

April is designated as Community Banking Month, and as a community bank, Citizens National Bank will be highlighting local businesses through its annual gift basket giveaway, as well as hosting Community Shred Day on Friday, April 28.

Each CNB office is giving away a gift basket including local items from each of our branch communities.

Ohio prospective plantings report from USDA NASS

Ohio farmers intend to plant more corn and the same soybean acreage in 2023 than they did last year, according to the USDA NASS, Great Lakes Regional Field Office.

Ohio corn producers intend to plant 3.45 million acres this spring, up 1 percent from last year. Ohio soybean acreage is forecast at 5.10 million acres for 2023, unchanged from last year. Hay acreage for 2023 is estimated at 820 thousand acres, down 1 percent from 2022. This includes alfalfa, grain, and all other types of hay intended to be harvested for dry hay.

BACC Trivia night has been cancelled

The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that due to the low number of registered teams, the Wine Tasting and Trivia Night at Southgate Lanes origianlly scheduled for April 1 has been cancelled.
