A collection of family and individual portraits from the 1950s to 1970s taken by long-time Bluffton photographer, Leland Gerber, is on display in the third floor gallery at Mennonite Memorial Home, 410 W. Elm St., Bluffton.

Gerber owned a photo studio on South Main Street, Bluffton, during the 1950s-70s era. Most class photos of Bluffton elementary students from this era were taken by Gerber.

Tim and Pat Boutwell have opened a new business that offers heated vehicle storage in Bluffton.

The facility is provided by Marsh Run Properties, LLC, owned by the Boutwells. The storage is located at 906 N. Main St., next door to Masterpiece Signs and Graphics, Inc.

Boutwells said that they saw a need for winter storage of vehicles, motorcycles, boats and other large vehicles that need to be stored in a heated area.

Fall is here. Bluffton village crews are current sweeping leaves from curbs. According to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator, “The crew starts on one side of town and works its way to the other before starting the process again. With both residents and mother nature providing ample piles of leaves over the past week, it can easily take a number of days to make one pass through town.”

Mehaffie provided the leaf pick up progress and several other matters to council members on Monday, Nov. 3.
