Let's celebrate the first day of fall with another Porch Sing @ the Library this Saturday, September 23! It will be held near the library entrance starting at 10 a.m., and will last as long as folks want to stick around and sing. Bring a chair or blanket to sit on and enjoy the music!
John Ogden, MD, a neurosurgeon has joined Neurosurgical Associates of Northwest Ohio, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System. Neurosurgical Associates of Northwest Ohio is located at 1641 North Lake Drive in Findlay.
Dr. Ogden completed medical school at The University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tuscon, Arizona. He fulfilled his internship and neurosurgery residency at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University women's soccer team waited out an hour and 10 minute storm delay and then gave undefeated Otterbein University all it could handle for 60 minutes before the Cardinals pulled away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. Bluffton fell to 1-5 on the season while the visitors improved to 6-0-1 overall following the 4-1 victory.
Welcome to a new school year and a new monthly feature showcasing Bluffton High School artists. Vickie Garmon, BHS art teacher, selects the featured artists.
This month's artist is Kaitlyn Burkholder, a Bluffton High senior.
She had already taken several art classes including Art one, Photography one, Design/Composition one and two, Ceramics one and two, and Seminar.
"I hope to persue a career in art education after high school," she says.
Two new activities, both in the downtown area, join this year’s Bluffton Fall Festival.
Senior Citizens Center
The Bluffton Senior Center, 132 N. Main St., will host a toy car show, according to Tonya Meyer, director.
"We are looking for collectors young and old, who collect Matchbox, Hot Wheels or other toy cars to display during the festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m." she said.
The show will be free and open to the public. There is no cost to display the toy cars.
Hannah Conklin, a sophomore convergent media major from Westerville, Ohio, spent the summer as an intern at 104.9 The River. However, there were no coffee runs or mindless data entry in Conklin’s summer schedule. Instead she spent the majority of her day with the station’s digital and community impact department, promoting the radio station’s mission to “encourage connections and share Jesus” on the social media channels.
104.9 The River is a nonprofit, Christian radio station and the third highest rated radio station in Columbus.
One of the fun parts of homecoming week in Bluffton is theme dress up day. Here’s the dress up themes this week at Bluffton High School.

Groups are still invited to participate in the Friday homecoming parade. The parade forms at the Centre at 5 p.m. and passes down Main Street to Harmon Field at 5:30 p.m.
