Seniors Cody Litwiller of Hopedale, Ill., and Ashtyn Shafer of Columbus Grove, were crowned Bluffton University's Homecoming king and queen before the annual Homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 9.

Litwiller, a marketing major with a minor in economics, is a C. Henry Smith Scholar, Lincoln Hall chaplain, Ultimate Frisbee club president and public relations marketing assistant. Also active in the Leadership Development Program and the Student Investment Club, he is an Olympia High School graduate and the son of Darwin and Patty Litwiller.

A communication major, Shafer has been involved with The Witmarsum, the campus e-zine; campus radio station WBWH; Acting on AIDS; Student Ambassadors; the Leadership Development Program; and Brothers and Sisters in Christ (BASIC). She has also been Marbeck Center Board secretary, a First Year Seminar student mentor and an admissions office worker. Her parents are Curt and Shelley Shafer.

Other seniors in the Homecoming court were Tim Nofziger of Archbold; Kenny Miller of Berlin; Jen Krehbiel of Goessel, Kan.; and Libby Brinkman of Columbus Grove. The junior couple was Jake Atkins of Spencerville, and Bethany Bowman of Piqua, while the sophomore couple was Zeke Tracy of Continental, and Lisa Baglien of Celina.

Nofziger, an accounting major with a business administrator minor, is an Archbold High School graduate and, at Bluffton, active in intramural sports.
Miller is a business major, Lincoln Hall director and Student Investment Club treasurer. The Hiland High School graduate is the son of Robert and Connie Miller.
This year's Student Senate vice president and a resident advisor, Krehbiel is majoring in business administration and marketing. The Goessel High School graduate is the daughter of Thomas and Susan Krehbiel.

Brinkman is a religion major with a concentration in youth ministries and a minor in communication. A Pathways Scholar, hall chaplain and admissions office worker, she is also involved with BASIC, Student Senate, intramural volleyball, Acting on AIDS, The Witmarsum and the Leadership Development Program. Her parents are Roger and Jackie Brinkman.

Atkins, a Spencerville High School graduate, is a resident advisor and active in intramural sports. He is the son of Andrew and Jennifer Atkins.

A social work major, Bowman is a hall chaplain and member of the Gospel Choir and the Spiritual Life Week planning committee. She is a Piqua High School graduate.

Tracy is involved in the Art Club and Sunday Night worship. The Continental High School graduate is the son of Tony and Buff Tracy.

Baglien, a 2009 Celina High School graduate, is majoring in social work and minoring in youth ministry. She is Neufeld Hall chaplain and a member of the Social Work Club and the Shining Through worship team. The daughter of Paul and Susan Baglien, who now reside in California, she also plays intramural volleyball.
