Citizens National Bank thanks customers with cake on Friday during Community Banking Month celebration
In appreciation for its customers and in honor of Community Banking Month, every Citizens National Bank office will serve cake to its customers on Friday, April 8 during normal business hours.
April is Community Banking Month, and members of the Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) and Citizens National Bank are celebrating the role that community banks play in the economic, civic and cultural life of their communities in cities and towns throughout America.
Citizens National provides financial services to the communities it serves and donates to and supports several charitable and civic organizations within each of those areas.
CNB employees volunteer or participate with more than 80 organizations each year and in 2010 donated more than $128,000 to those organizations throughout its 11-county footprint.
"We're proud to be involved with so many different types of organizations, supporting diversity in programs and offering opportunities to those less fortunate within the areas our employees live and serve as volunteers," said J. Michael Romey, president/CEO of Citizens National Bank.
"Community banks work tirelessly each and everyday to serve the needs of their customers and reinvest in their Main Street communities," said Jim MacPhee, ICBA chairman and CEO of Kalamazoo County State Bank, Schoolcraft, Mich.
"Our nation's nearly 7,000 community banks provide the vital resources their customers need, which in turn, make their communities a better place to work and live. Our customers are at the heart of everything we do, and ICBA Community Banking Month gives ICBA's community bank members a chance to thank our customers and the communities we proudly serve."
With offices in Bluffton, Elida, Lima, Van Wert, Celina, Findlay, Springfield and Defiance, Citizens National Bank has assets totaling more than $560 million and has been serving the communities of West Central and North West Ohio since 1920.
