Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre quarter auction May 5
Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, Ada, wil raise funds to help replace tumble equipment that was destroyed in a December flood in their studio.
The event is Sunday, May 5, at the Ada VFW on State Route 235, north of Ada. Doors open at 5 p.m.
What is a Quarter Auction?
How much does it cost: $5 admission includes two auction paddle with a number on it. Additional paddles may be purchased for $1 each. Each item raffled is from 25 cents to $1 per paddle played.
Baked goods, food items, and additional raffle items may also be available for purchase from the sponsored fundraising group.
How to Play: Each item will be shown off and the retail value given. All players will be told the numbers of quarters needed to bid on that item. Numbered chips are placed in a bucket and drawn for each item being auctioned off. If you placed quarters in the middle of the table to hold your auction number in the air and your number is drawn, you’ve won the auction.
If the number drawn was not in the air, the number played below it wins the auction.
What to Win: Home-based business products such as Scentsy, Pampered Chef, Mary Kay, Thirty one gifts, Jamberry Nails, Tupperware, Avon, and many more. Vendors are on site with item information and products on display.
Who to Bring: Friends, neighbors, parents, families, and co-workers.
"Quarter auctions are good, clean fun for the entire family; and don’t require a lot of money to play," said Darcey Schneider of RIMDC. "We are looking for vendors and donations for this event."
