Red Cross assisting rural Bluffton resident following house fire.
The American Red Cross of Hancock County is helping a Bluffton resident following a fire at her home on State Route 103 Tuesday evening. The resident received help with food, clothing and personal hygiene items.
Red Cross Disaster Responders Phyllis Davis, Bill Davis and Jim Beach responded to the call for help.
The Red Cross will continue to aid the resident as needed and assist in long term recovery planning with resources, information, and referrals to partner agencies.
Todd James, director of the Hancock County Red Cross said, "All Red Cross disaster relief is provided free of charge, thanks to the generosity of the American people. You can help people affected by disasters like tornadoes, floods and other crises by making a donation to the American Red Cross.
"You can donate by visiting redcross.org, calling 1-800-RED CROSS, or texting the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation. Your donation helps provide food, shelter and emotional support to those affected by disasters."
