Bluffton girls duo earns All-NWC honorable mention

DELPHOS -Two Bluffton girls received All-Northwest Conference basketball notice from league coaches in voting conducted at their annual selection meeting this week.
Senior guard Laykin Garmatter and junior post Kylie Stackhouse were each voted honorable mention all-league.
The Lady Pirates finished their regular season 12-10 overall and 4-4 in the NWC, good for sixth in the nine-team league.
Spencerville senior Emma Leis was selected the 2020-21 NWC Player of the Year in voting by the league coaches.
Joining Leis on the six-player All-NWC first team were junior Kenzie King (Columbus Grove), Cali Gregory (Crestview), Alyvia Lindeman (Delphos Jefferson), Olivia Cunningham (Crestview) and Janae Pease (Paulding).
The second team was comprised of Alycia Lindeman (DJ), Erin Downing (CG), Jalynn Parrett (Paulding), Bailey Gregory (Crestview) and Kendall Bollenbacher (Lincolnview).
Mark Gregory, who guided Crestview (7-1 NWC) to a share of the league championship with Delphos Jefferson, was selected the NWC Coach of the Year by his peers.
Spencerville, Paulding and Grove all tied for third at 5-3. Bluffton ended up sixth at 4-4, followed by Lincolnview (2-6), Ada (1-7) and AE (0-8).
