Updated visitor policy, COVID evaluation guidance for St. Rita's Medical Center
Mercy Health-St. Rita's Medical Center has updated their visitor policty and issued the following guidance on how to be evaluated for COVID:
As we continue to focus on caring for our community, St. Rita’s is asking those who are seeking COVID evaluation to do the following:
If you have been exposed to COVID or are having mild symptoms and want evaluated for COVID, please call 419-996-5000
The call center will help you find a Mercy Health walk-in location that can provide an evaluation
If you are experiencing more severe symptoms, please go to an Emergency Department, Urgent Care or call 911 for emergencies
Additionally, in response to an increased number of patients in our facilities and increased respiratory illness in the community, the medical center has enacted the following visitor policy effective Monday, September 20.
All visitors must be over the age of 14.
Do not visit if you are experiencing fever, cough, sore throat and body aches.
Visitors must wear a mask within the hospital and are asked to bring their own mask if available. Mercy Health will provide a mask for those who don’t have their own.
St. Rita’s Medical Center remain the safest environment to seek health care and have strict sanitation protocols in alignment with ODH and CDC. Mercy Health is proud to be caring for our community as we have for the past 102 years. We thank our patients and our community for their part in helping us protect those who need us most.
