Have you ever noticed how there is always a long line outside the women's restroom at public events?
We wait. And wait. And wait...while the men zip in and out of their own, with nary a line in sight.

I judged a pie contest once. Going into it was the happiest day of my life. After the 10th or so pie, I changed my mind.
I judged a chili soup contest Saturday at the library. Going into it was the happiest day of my life. Then, I caught on fire. Wow! But it was worth it. I love chili soup as much as I love pies.

Bluffton received a presidential visit on Tuesday.
Honest Abe Lincoln visited residents of Maple Crest Senior Living Village earlier this week. With Mrs. Lincoln at his side, President Lincoln told about his early life and years as president.
His visit was one day after Presidents' Day and very close to his own birthday. When not playing the role of President Lincoln and the first lady, the couple is known as Roger and Judy Jenot from Carey.
This is the second visit to Bluffton by the Lincolns. Last year they visited with patrons of the Bluffton Public Library.

The Icon supports this issue and urges voters who need more information to attend one of two public meetings planned for the next two Thursdays to learn more about this issue.
The meetings are both at 7:30 p.m., with one on Thursday, Feb. 23, and the second on Thursday, March 1, in the third floor of the town hall, according to Jamie Mehaffie, village administrator.

The Dirty Dozen listing, compiled by the IRS each year, lists a variety of common scams taxpayers can encounter at any point during the year. But many of these schemes peak during filing season as people prepare their tax returns.
