PrimeTimers will meet at noon, Tuesday, March 7.

PrimeTimers is a non-denominational, community fellowship gathering for adults 55 and over hosted at St. John Mennonite Church, 15988 Road 4, Pandora.

This event will feature the music of Ken Cartier. The meal will include: Baked Ham, Scalloped Potatoes, Green Beans, Caesar Salad, Mint Brownies, Dinner Rolls and Coffee.

Swaisgood assumes Chief Development Officer of BV Health Foundation

Blanchard Valley Health System recently made several key management changes in order to focus on organization-wide, strategic initiatives.

Linda DeArment was named the Director of Physician Services and Recruitment. DeArment will oversee all provider recruiting activities and the Medical Staff Office. Prior to accepting this position, Linda served as the Chief Development Officer of the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation for nearly 10 years.

Several superiors and excellent ratings on Saturday

Bluffton High School musicians achieved several superiors and excellent ratings at the OMEA solo and ensemble contest Feb. 11 at Lima Senior High.

BHS music teacher are Rachael Lewis, strings, David Sycks, band, and Kara Zink, vocal.

Who will it be?

The Bluffton Lions Club seeks nominees for the 2016 citizen of the year.

The award was established in 1981. It honors a person, couple or someone representing a group who has selflessly given time, effort and talent for the benefit of those in the Bluffton area and whose dedication and achievements have profoundly improved the quality of life of the people of the area.

The nominee may be living or deceased (within the last year). The winner will be honored at a banquet later this spring

Bluffton first graders last week learned a new way to examine the three-digit number, according to their teachers Teri Steinmetz, Ryan Dunlap, Jamie Combs and Amber Huffman.

First graders celebrated the 100th day of the 2016-17 school year. Jamie Nygaard visited the 100 celebration and shows Icon views these black and white photos.

After studying these photos we believe viewers can figure out the theme of this year's 100th day celebration.

The Allen County spelling bee is Saturday, Feb. 18, at Ohio State University-Lima. Bluffton middle school's spelling bee winner, Nicole Boyle, seventh grader, represents Bluffton. Her alternate is Elizabeth Bourassa, eighth grader. Bluffton's spelling be was in December.
