ArtSpace/Lima announces the opening of Landscape/Cityscape, a group invitational exhibit in The Ellen Nelson Gallery, Friday, Sept. 16.

The inspiration for the exhibit centers on the fact that both landscape and cityscape have an art historical importance dating back to the beginnings of art itself, and that today’s artists, in choosing to work in one of the genres, of necessity add to and alter its dimensions and possibilities.  Landscape/Cityscape proposes a contemporary venue for new perspectives on ancient forms.

Sixteen area non-profit organizations received shares of proceeds from this summer’s Bluffton American Legion 7th annual charitable golf scramble.

That event generated over $7,000. Co-chair the golf outing were Fred Arnold and Sam Reineke.

Here are new births reported from the Bluffton Hospital since Aug. 12.
