The Service Group of Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio (MHCO) is seeking donations of items, services or “experiences,” for its Silent Auction during Fall Fest, Saturday, Sept. 22.
Funds raised through the auction support activities and improvement projects, benefitting more than 350 MHCO elders. All donations are tax deductible.
Bluffton University has once again been named to the top tier of Midwest “regional colleges” by the “U.S. News & World Report” rankings released today.
The 2019 edition of the magazine’s “Best Colleges” guidebook ranks Bluffton 30 among 79 comparable institutions in 12 Midwest states. Now listed in the “U.S. News” rankings for 21 consecutive years, Bluffton has consistently ranked in the top tier of Midwest colleges.
Ruth E. Amstutz, 90, died on Sept. 4, 2018, at her home in Grangeville, Idaho. She was born Aug. 5, 1928, in Bluffton, to the late Clarence and Esther (Slusser) Jones. On June 7, 1947, she married Dwaine Amstutz.
Ruth was a homemaker who had also worked at Triplett Corp., Dr. Huss Dental, and the Cottage Gift Haus in Bluffton.
Ohio registered voters have received absentee balloting material from the Ohio Secretary of State’s office for the Tuesday, Nov. 6, general election.
To request an absentee ballot, simply complete the attached application and return it to your county board of elections as far in advance of the election as possible.
During the absentee voting period you may visit your county board of elections or designated early vote center to vote in person.
