3 Democrat candidates for Congress will debate in Bluffton
Three Democratic candidates are vying for the chance to represent Allen County – and Ohio's Fourth Congressional District – in Congress.
In Ohio’s primary on March 17, Democratic voters will choose one of these candidates to run for the seat currently held by Jim Jordan in the U.S. House.
Saturday, Feb 15, the public is invited to hear what these candidates have to say, in an open forum from 7-9 p.m. at the Bluffton town hall third floor, 154 N. Main St.
The forum will include opening and closing statements as well as the chance for rebuttals.
The forum is co-sponsored by Allen and Hardin for election Action and Democracy (AHEAD), the Lima African American Chamber of Commerce, and Millennial Action Pact.
“Voters have a real choice,” said JaMesha Williamson, of the Millennial Action Pact. “Through the debate, people can understand who best represents them – and who they want to vote for.”
The Democratic candidates for District 4 are Shannon Freshour, Mike Larsen and Jeffrey A. Sites.
