BHS grad, Trevor Bassitt, DII national indoor men's track athlete of the year
Bluffton High School track and field standout Trevor Bassitt now of Ashland University was named the National Men’s Track Athlete of the Year for the 2020 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field season by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
This is the second time in the past three years and the fourth time overall that an athlete from Ashland has earned this honor (Myles Pringle, 2018; Drew Windle, 2013-2014).

The junior matched the third fastest all-conditions mark in NCAA DII history over 200 Meters at 20.80 in a runner-up effort at the GLIAC Indoor Championships, while moving up to No. 6 all-time in the hurdles earlier in the season at the Rod McCravy Memorial with his 7.75.
